Base pay range

$66,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design for an interdisciplinary team of civil engineers, project planners, and CAD designers.
• Report directly to the Director of the Land Development Department.
• Possess high technical competency in land development projects, sustainable design, utility design, and stormwater management.
• Experience with design and permitting for development projects, including schools, institutional, commercial, and retail projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (Required)
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience (Required)
• Minimum of 3 years of design experience on land development projects
• Experience with K-12 site design is a plus
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and Office 360 products

Typical Duties

• Lead a team in preparing project drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Prepare engineering analyses, designs, calculations, and reports.
• Evaluate land use and zoning requirements; familiar with zoning ordinances and site plan approval processes.
• Prepare permit applications and manage agency review processes.
• Conduct site visits during construction to assess progress and quality.
• Collaborate with owners, developers, architects, landscape architects, trades, and contractors.
• Mentor and train junior staff.
