Job summary

Forestar Group Inc. is seeking a Land Development Coordinator-FG to support land acquisition and development processes across regions. The role involves pre-acquisition coordination, contract administration, budget tracking, and managing LOC/Surety bonds to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

The candidate will liaise with development teams, finance, and legal to maintain accurate budgets, timelines, and documentation, with responsibilities expanding as projects evolve.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Two to three years of applicable real estate experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email including the ability to build and maintain reports and schedules in MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the Pre-Acquisition process and coordinate purchase and sales agreements.
• Track the status of due diligence documentation and review.
• Coordinate the filing of soft and hard copy files with Land Development Administrator, Real Estate Services and Legal.
• Maintain bid spreadsheets and bid tabulations; create standard contract forms and exhibits.
• Ensure fully executed contracts coded to the current budget.
• Assist with development operation budgets and coordinate jobs and contracts.
• Coordinate LOC/Surety bonds and monitor cancellations to reduce exposure.
• Communicate development start dates, end dates and budget changes.
• Compile and maintain schedules and build/run reports beneficial to regional coordination.
