Job summary

Jobot seeks a Land Development Civil Engineer to support residential and commercial development projects in Orlando, FL. You will design site plans, perform grading and drainage analyses, prepare construction documents, and coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and clients from feasibility through construction.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience; EIT or PE is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• EIT or PE license preferred.
• Land development design experience required.
• Experience with residential and commercial development projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater and utility design.
• AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience required.
• GIS experience preferred; stormwater modeling (ICPR or SWMM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering design plans, calculations, technical reports and construction documents.
• Perform grading, drainage, stormwater, water quality, utility and infrastructure calculations.
• Develop site plans, utility plans, drainage plans and construction drawings for land development projects.
• Support residential, commercial and master-planned community developments.
• Coordinate designs with internal teams, consultants, contractors and clients.
• Participate in project meetings and design reviews.
• Assist with project schedules, budgets and cost estimates.
• Coordinate permitting efforts with local, state and federal agencies.
• Ensure designs comply with zoning requirements and municipal regulations.
• Resolve design challenges and construction conflicts in the field.
