Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the Land Development team. This on-site role involves site development engineering, project management, and collaboration with a wide range of professionals and clients on residential and commercial projects.

The ideal candidate will hold or pursue a P.E. license, be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and have strong skills in design, permitting, and coordination.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• P.E. license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with site civil design, permitting, and software including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience with task management and assisting project management tasks.
• Familiar with coordinating with clients and attending client meetings.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to build plan sets and construction documents.
• Design experience including utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Projects will include a variety of land development site designs.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Work with engineers, designers, jurisdictions, and contractors on projects.
• Develop technical specifications and bid packages for land development.
• Build strong internal and external professional relationships.
