Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its private land development team in New Berlin, WI. You will plan, design, and oversee infrastructure for residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, working with private developers and coordinating with architects and surveyors.

The role emphasizes site development, zoning and permitting, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroStation. PE certification is a plus for advancement.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years working in the land development department of a civil firm.
• Professional Engineer certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site development plans including grading, drainage, utility layout, and roadway design.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments for proposed developments.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning and environmental codes.
• Coordinate with architects, surveyors, and other engineers to integrate design components.
• Manage permitting processes and interface with municipal agencies.
• Use CAD and modeling software to produce construction documents.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
