Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Active Minnesota Professional Engineer (PE) license or reciprocity.
• At least 5 years of land development and site design experience.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D for modeling and plan production.
• Experience in grading and drainage design for land development projects.
• Hands-on experience with stormwater management design and analysis.
• Experience designing site utilities (water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer).
• Experience in permitting and agency coordination for land development projects.
• Experience preparing construction documentation (plans, details, specifications).
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Ability to mentor EITs and junior staff.
• QA/QC oversight on civil engineering deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee site development plans, including grading, drainage, and utilities.
• Design land development projects for residential, commercial, municipal, and mixed-use sites.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for modeling and plan production.
• Coordinate with municipalities, developers, architects, contractors and project teams.
• Prepare permitting and entitlement packages for reviewing agencies.
• Conduct site visits to support construction administration.
• Review civil plans for QA/QC and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical guidance on grading, drainage, and stormwater.
• Mentor and develop EITs and junior staff.
• Drive standard practices and templates across design groups.
• Manage project schedules and budgets.
• Lead client communications with clear technical updates.
• Support construction documentation and respond to field changes.
