Job summary

PWORLD Jobs & Education seeks a Civil Engineer with land development experience to design private subdivisions and develop residential, retail, and commercial projects in southeastern Pennsylvania. The role works independently on smaller projects and supports Senior Designers and Project Managers on larger ones.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hands-on civil engineering design, be proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and possess strong communication skills to coordinate with project

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressive experience in private subdivision and land development design
• Experience sketch plans, site plans, grading plans, utility plans, roadway plans and utility profile plans
• Experience in stormwater management and erosion and sediment control design (stormwater calculations)
• Ability to review zoning ordinances, subdivision and land development regulations, and municipal agency requirements
• Hands-on AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare sketch plans, site plans, grading plans, utility plans, roadway plans and utility profile plans.
• Support layout and design development through the project lifecycle, and assist with subdivision and land development plan packages.
• Prepare technical drawings, reports and submissions; support documentation and submission packages.
• Review zoning ordinances, subdivision and land development regulations, stormwater management requirements and other municipal and agency requirements that affect the design.
• Support stormwater management design, stormwater calculations, and erosion and sediment control design.
• Meet regularly with Project Managers, coordinate goals, schedules and technical requirements, and give regular updates on assigned tasks.
