Job summary

Kuakini Health System is seeking a LAN & Intranet Services technician to assist the supervisor and help develop, install, and maintain the organization’s LAN infrastructure. The role involves hardware/software installation, network maintenance, and related computer duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in math or computer sciences or equivalent technical training, plus at least two years of data communications experience.

Work Hours

Regular Full-Time (Req# 2025-177)Primarily Mondays to Fridays, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30p.m.; Forty (40) hours per week for full-time employees. May be required to work extended hours and onweekends as needed.

Description of Position

Provides assistance to the Supervisor, LAN & Intranet Services as required, and performs duties primarily related to the development, installation of hardware/software, maintenance and support of the Local Area Network (LAN), and other computer-related duties as required or instructed.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in math or computer sciences, or technical training equivalent. Two (2) years’ experience with data communications equipment and networks required. Training in concepts of data processing and operating systems required. Experience in telecommunication protocols preferred. NT Network certification preferred; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.
