Morris Packaging, LLC is seeking a Laminator Operator in Minneapolis, Minnesota to manage the setup and operation of laminating machines. Morris Packaging is a manufacturer of sustainable, flexible packaging products such as bags, pouches, and rollstock. Morris Packaging provides end-to-end packaging solutions, including design, printing, warehousing, and logistics support.
As a Laminator Operator, you will be responsible for the setup of the laminating machine, performing safety checks, and ensuring the proper materials are in place. You will operate the laminating machine, maintain the rollers and materials, read and interpret job tickets and specifications, input the correct settings, monitor equipment, and troubleshoot any problems that arise during operation of the laminating machine.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be primarily in our climate-controlled facility. The plant floor is subject to vibration and equipment noise leading to a loud environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and might also be exposed to outside conditions, tight spaces, cleaning solvents and heights.
The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.
This is a full-time position on rotating 12-hour shifts (daytime shifts 6am-6pm; night-time shifts 6pm-6am). Days, nights, and hours may vary depending on assigned shift and production requirements. This position may require significant work hours beyond the normal workday based on the demands of the business cycle, customer volume of business.
Travel is not required for this position.
