Job summary

International Paper is seeking a Laminator Assistant for the 2nd and 3rd shifts in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves assisting laminator operators, preparing rolls, cleaning equipment, and supporting daily production tasks on a full-time hourly basis.

Pay rate is $29.34 per hour with a multi-step sign-on bonus program and opportunities for training across the laminator crew, ensuring coverage during vacations and absences. Excellent safety and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Laminator assistants perform a variety of tasks to support operations.
• Laminator assistants report to laminator supervisors.
• following all plant safety, quality, product safety, and other rules and procedures.
• helping operators prepare rolls for splices and order changes.
• performing other crew member duties during break periods, as needed.
• working with other associates to change flute rolls when roll changes are needed.
• assisting other crew members with the daily cleaning of the machine.
• preparing top sheets for manufacturing process
• daily emptying all the waste containers in the laminator department, including those in the supervisors’ office.
• training on and learning all laminator crew positions to be able to perform those jobs during vacation, call‑in, and/or other absence situations.
• helping clean any and all machine components
• unloading rollstock from rail cars and trucks as needed.
• keeping the truck area empty of rollstock.
• participating in and performing rollstock inventories.
• unloading, receiving, and storing raw materials in the proper areas.
• performing assigned inspections and tests and completing accurate records; and
• performing other duties as assigned by supervision
