Job summary

International Paper in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Dry End Operator for 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) or 3rd shift (11pm-7am), Monday–Friday, at a pay rate of $30.88 per hour. The role involves setting up, running, and cleaning laminator dry end equipment and reporting to laminator supervisors.

You will follow all safety and quality rules, read work orders, enter data into control systems, and maintain a clean work area as part of a larger production team.

The Job You Will Perform

• Dry End operators set up, run, and clean up the slitter, glue station, and other laminator dry end equipment.
• Dry End operators report to laminator supervisors.
• Dry End operator’s duties/responsibilities include:
• following all plant safety, quality, product safety, and other rules and procedures.
• reading factory work orders and machine schedules to learn customer specifications.
• entering appropriate data and settings into laminator control systems.
• performing any dry end component set up and operations.
• initiating order changes.
• verifying (measuring) sheets to ensure that sheet sizes and score locations conform to customer specifications.
• checking other board quality characteristics such as color, caliper, line-ups, and bond.
• setting optimum run speeds.
• maintaining clean and organized work areas.
• helping on other parts of the machine as needed
• completing accurate records
• performing other duties as assigned by supervision.
