Job summary

Kelly Services in the United States (Florida) is seeking a Lamination Manager (Manufacturing) to lead day-to-day lamination line operations, ensuring on-time, within-budget production of laminated products. You will supervise people, control processes, schedules, and equipment while driving continuous improvement.

The role requires extensive lamination experience, strong problem-solving, and collaboration with planning, QA, safety, and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years in manufacturing/production.
  • 2–5+ years leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expert knowledge of lamination processes (solvent-based, solventless, water-based, thermal/heat lamination).
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, process data, and production reporting.
  • Experience with safety and chemical handling requirements.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MES systems and spreadsheets.
  • Lamination experience: 3 years (Required).
  • Infusion experience: 3 years (Required).
  • Tooling Gel coat experience: 3 years (Preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute daily/weekly schedules to meet output and delivery goals.
  • Monitor line performance (OEE, uptime, yield, scrap) and eliminate production constraints.
  • Coordinate with planning, printing/coating/converting, packaging, and logistics for seamless operations.
  • Own and control lamination parameters (temperature, pressure, tension, cure time, etc.).
  • Approve machine settings and standardize procedures.
  • Lead troubleshooting of defects and process issues using root cause analysis tools.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards/specifications.
  • Work with QA/QC for inspections, sampling, and corrective actions.
  • Lead investigations to reduce customer complaints and internal defects.
  • Enforce EHS safety requirements and safe work practices.
  • Maintain compliance for adhesives/solvents and regulatory standards.
  • Uphold 5S and GMP where applicable.
  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and operators.
  • Manage staffing, training, shift transitions, attendance, and performance expectations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with maintenance for preventive programs, managing downtime, and equipment reliability.
  • Ensure spare parts are stocked and support upgrades/commissioning.
  • Track and optimize adhesive/film consumption, waste, inventory, and run sizes.
  • Support cost-saving and material trial initiatives.
  • Lead Lean/Six Sigma projects and track KPIs.
  • Conduct meetings, report performance, and ensure follow-up on actions.

Job Title: Lamination Manager (Manufacturing)

Pay: $24.55 - $29.56 per hour

Role Overview

The Lamination Manager leads all day-to-day operations for the lamination line(s) to deliver high-quality laminated products on time and within budget. This position manages people, process control, production schedules, equipment, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations & Production:

  • Plan and execute daily/weekly schedules to meet output and delivery goals.

  • Monitor line performance (OEE, uptime, yield, scrap) and eliminate production constraints.

  • Coordinate with planning, printing/coating/converting, packaging, and logistics for seamless operations.

  • Process & Technical Management:

  • Own and control lamination parameters (temperature, pressure, tension, cure time, etc.).

  • Approve machine settings and standardize procedures.

  • Lead troubleshooting of defects and process issues using root cause analysis tools.

  • Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards/specifications.

  • Work with QA/QC for inspections, sampling, and corrective actions.

  • Lead investigations to reduce customer complaints and internal defects.

  • Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping:

  • Enforce EHS safety requirements and safe work practices.

  • Maintain compliance for adhesives/solvents and regulatory standards.

  • Uphold 5S and GMP where applicable.

  • People Leadership:

  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and operators.

  • Manage staffing, training, shift transitions, attendance, and performance expectations.

  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Maintenance & Reliability:

  • Partner with maintenance for preventive programs, managing downtime, and equipment reliability.

  • Ensure spare parts are stocked and support upgrades/commissioning.

  • Materials & Cost Control:

  • Track and optimize adhesive/film consumption, waste, inventory, and run sizes.

  • Support cost-saving and material trial initiatives.

  • Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead Lean/Six Sigma projects and track KPIs.

  • Conduct meetings, report performance, and ensure follow-up on actions.

  • Safety: TRIR, near misses, audit closures

  • Delivery: Schedule attainment, on-time completion

  • Quality: Scrap %, rework %, complaints, bond failures

  • Productivity: OEE, uptime/downtime, changeover time

  • Cost: Material usage variance, waste, labor efficiency
