Qualifications

• Florida Aquatic Pesticide Applicator License or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in lake and pond management, pest/herbicide control or surveying preferred.
• Disciplines desirable: fisheries, wildlife management, ecology, biology, environmental sciences or forestry.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Able to swim and be comfortable around water.
• Ability to lift 80 pounds regularly.
• Basic math skills to calculate product applications.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Team-oriented and aligned with Dragonfly's values: Quality Focus, Takes Ownership, Growth Oriented.
• Great communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and treat invasive weeds.
• Visual inspection of stormwater components.
• Mowing/string trimming sites.
• Improve overall aesthetics of the sites.
• Minor repairs for compliance.
• Implement safety training for field staff.
• Handle administrative duties.
