Job summary

Dragonfly Pond Works in Wilmington, NC is seeking a field technician to perform pond and stormwater maintenance, operate heavy equipment, and support environmental projects in outdoor settings.

Qualifications

• Active Class A or B CDL with clean driving record.
• Experience in pond/lake maintenance, landscaping, erosion or stormwater work.
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds and work outdoors in various weather.
• Safe around water, slopes and environmental hazards (bees, poison ivy, etc.).
• Strong communication and ability to motivate team members.
• Commitment to safety with chemicals and equipment.
• Able to follow company policies and values.

Responsibilities

• Safely haul/transport equipment and resources on company trucks and trailers.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely (slope mowers, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, mini-excavators, skid steers).
• Perform manual labor tasks and use hand tools.
• Maintain and repair ponds, lakes, and stormwater control measures (grading, erosion repair, planting, mowing).
• Lead by example, ensure a safe and productive work environment.
• Participate in safety meetings and follow guidelines.
• Complete repairs including turf, planting, invasive species removal, grading and site stabilization.
