Job summary

Dragonfly Pond Works in Altamonte Springs, FL is seeking a field technician to manage lakes and ponds, identify invasive weeds, and enhance stormwater sites. This full-time role requires outdoor work in all weather and physical effort.

You must hold a Florida Aquatic Pesticide Applicator license or be able to obtain one within 30 days, have a valid driver's license, and be comfortable around water. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Florida Aquatic Pesticide Applicator license or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Experience in lake/pond management or pest/herbicide control preferred.
• Background in fisheries, wildlife management, ecology, or environmental sciences helpful.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Able to swim and be comfortable around water.
• Ability to lift 80 pounds regularly.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic math for product applications.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Team-oriented and aligned with company values.

Responsibilities

• Visual inspection of stormwater components.
• Mowing and string trimming sites.
• Improve the overall aesthetics of the sites.

Pay: $20- $22 an hour- Full-time

Requirements

• Florida Aquatic Pesticide Applicator License or be able to obtain a license within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in lake and pond management, pest/herbicide control or surveying is preferred.
• Experience in the following disciplines are desirable: fisheries, wildlife management, conservation, ecology, biology, environmental sciences or forestry.
• Valid Driver's License.

• Able to swim and comfortable around water.
• Ability to lift 80 pounds on a regular basis.
• Great communication skills.
• Basic math skills to calculate product applications.
• Mechanically inclined.
