Lactation Registered Nurse- Full Time, Nights Status: Full Time Shift: Third Job Summary: The lactation consultant is a member of the Mother-Baby team who provides consultation and hands on assistance for mothers experiencing difficulties related to breast feeding initiation/sustainment in both the inpatient and outpatient setting (prenatally and beyond discharge from the hospital.) The lactation consultant is responsible for initiating a plan of care to provide consistent and evidence-based practice interventions. The lactation consultant provides staff training in lactation support and gives direction by mentoring to nursing and allied health staff at the bedside.

• Associate's degree in nursing.


• Active Kentucky License.


• Two years of relevant work experience required.
