Job summary
El Paso Children's Hospital is seeking a Lactation Program Director under the direction of the Nurse Manager. You will develop and communicate a vision for excellence, oversee planning, coordination, and evaluation of the Lactation Program, and drive Baby Friendly Certification goals.
Responsibilities include data analysis, policy interpretation, staff education, interdepartmental coordination, and leadership in lactation services, nutrition, and psychosocial referrals in NICU and intermediate
Qualifications
- Requires IBCLC certification or the ability to obtain within one year.
- Graduate of accredited nursing program; RN license in Texas required if nursing degree.
- Experience in inpatient and outpatient lactation and coordination of lactation services.
Responsibilities
- Develops and communicates Lactation Program vision and direction.
- Oversees planning, coordination, and evaluation of the Lactation Program.
- Leads education for patients, families, and staff; supports Baby Friendly goals.
- Collaborates with NICU and management for lactation initiatives and research.
