Phoenix Children's Hospital is seeking a dedicated Lactation Specialist to join our Lactations team at the Phoenix campus. The role focuses on planning, developing, coordinating and evaluating lactation programs for inpatient and outpatient support.

The position offers full-time and part-time options, with days and shifts to align with patient needs. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to promote breast feeding education, policies and quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lactation resource for families, community, and health care staff regarding lactation issues to ensure understanding and developing an appropriate plan of care.
• Works collaboratively with health care team and family to provide consultation services for lactation challenges across patient care areas, including planning, evaluation of plan of care, and documentation.
• Participates in quality improvement activities at the department and hospital level; proactively evaluating systems to improve operational effectiveness.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates continuing education programs for staff to maintain lactation knowledge and skills.
• Develops and implements lactation policies and procedures for inpatient and outpatient areas to ensure consistency and integration of services.
