Job summary

Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center in Eagle Pass, TX is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as a Lactation Consultant within Women’s Services. You will coordinate breastfeeding education for new and expectant parents and support the patient education program across OB/HRU. Must hold a Texas RN license with current BLS; NRP and ACLS preferred.

2–3 years in L&D/postpartum, leadership, and teaching skills are desired. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have RN license in Texas and BLS current.
• NRP and ACLS certifications preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities to promote and educate new and expectant parents about breastfeeding.
• Participate in patient education program for Women's Services.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary team to ensure safe health care outcomes.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Uphold Patient Centered Care as foundation of nursing care.
• Responsible for Lactation Consultant duties.
