Job summary

Affinity Home Health Care Inc is seeking a Lactation Consultant‑RN to provide expert lactation assessments, develop feeding plans, and deliver hands-on education to breastfeeding families. You will collaborate with physicians and nursing staff, document care in the electronic health record, and support Baby-Friendly initiatives while maintaining patient-centered care and ongoing learning.

This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, quality improvement participation, and compassionate support

Qualifications

Registered Nurse licensure required.
Expert lactation support and breastfeeding education experience preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork skills essential.
Ability to develop individualized care plans and provide hands-on demonstrations.

Responsibilities

Provide expert lactation assessments for breastfeeding patients and families.
Develop individualized feeding plans to support optimal breastfeeding and newborn nutrition.
Deliver hands-on education on breastfeeding techniques, pumping, and feeding practices.
Collaborate with physicians and nursing teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Document care and interventions accurately in the electronic health record.
