Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is a 170‑bed acute care hospital serving the Truckee Meadows with 24/7 ER, cardiology, oncology, labor and delivery, level II NICU, surgical and orthopedic services.

We seek a compassionate, competent RN who delivers safe, patient‑centered care and provides clinical leadership to the healthcare team, aligned with Service Excellence standards and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
• Current IBCLC certification required
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.
• Coordinates the breastfeeding mother to attain her individual goals.
• Educates clients on information essential for their success in breastfeeding.
