Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, seeks a qualified RN to provide safe, patient-centered nursing care in a dynamic acute care setting in Nevada. You will lead a healthcare team, support breastfeeding initiatives, and uphold the facility's standards and philosophy.

The role requires an accredited RN program graduate with Nevada licensure, BLS certification, and IBCLC certification; prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
• Current IBCLC certification required
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill. Integrates direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and co-morbidities.
• Coordinates the implementation and evaluation to assist the breastfeeding mother to attain her individual goals.
• Shows sensitivity to the sprecific issues their clients are experiencing. Educates clients on the information essential for their success in breastfeeding.
