Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Lactation Consultant to assess and support breastfeeding families across the perinatal spectrum. You will plan, implement, and evaluate lactation care using established nursing processes and collaborate with the care team to promote successful breastfeeding outcomes.

Ideal candidate holds RN licensure in Georgia with preferred IBCLC certification and a strong background in maternal-child nursing and patient education.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Georgia required or multi-state licensure.
• IBCLC certification preferred or breast feeding counselor certification preferred.
• Current GA RN License required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate breastfeeding couplet; plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Provide lactation education and support to antepartum, postpartum and neonatal patients.
• Coordinate lactation services and educate staff to promote breastfeeding health.
