Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Lactation Nurse Educator to assess and support breastfeeding families across antepartum, post-partum, and neonatal care. You will plan, implement, and evaluate lactation programs, providing education to patients and staff, and coordinating care through the nursing process according to hospital policy.

Required RN licensure in Georgia with NRP, BLS, and IBCLC preferred, and at least 2 years in maternal-child nursing or education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
• Graduate of a nursing school is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality education programs to promote patient and community health.
• Coordinate lactation care for antepartum, post-partum and neonatal patients.
• Monitor and educate staff and patients on lactation management.
