Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital seeks an RN Lactation Consultant to assess and support breastfeeding families across antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal care, using the nursing process and established policies.

You will provide education programs, coordinate lactation support for staff and patients, and monitor outcomes to prevent and resolve problems. GA licensure and IBCLC preferred or pursuing credential.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Georgia is required.
• IBCLC certification preferred or certification as a breastfeeding counselor preferred.
• Current GA RN license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality education programs and activities that promote health of the patient and community through the life cycle, and staff development.
• Coordinate lactation education and support for antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal patients using the nursing process.
• Monitor and evaluate breastfeeding care to prevent and resolve problems and to support breastfeeding families.
