Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital seeks a Lactation Consultant to assess and support breastfeeding dyads across antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal patients. You will plan, implement, and evaluate care using the nursing process and educate families and staff.

Required RN license in Georgia; IBCLC or breastfeeding counselor certification is preferred. Position focuses on high-quality education programs and coordination of lactation services within the maternal-child continuum.

Qualifications

• RN license in Georgia is required.
• IBCLC preferred; breastfeeding counselor certification preferred.
• BSN is preferred; graduate of a nursing program required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate breastfeeding dyad; plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Provide lactation education and support to antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal patients.
• Education programs to promote health for patients and staff; support across life cycle.
