Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Lactation Consultant at Jersey Shore University Medical Center to provide assessment, intervention and education on breastfeeding for families choosing to breastfeed. You will document teaching and interventions, support nursing staff and contribute to physician education on breastfeeding; requires strong communication and computer skills.

Required: Associate's Degree, 2+ years OB nurse experience; NJ RN license; BLS; IBCLC preferred within 3 years of

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree (required)
• A minimum of two years of experience as an OB nurse
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Responsibilities

• Provide lactation consultation to childbearing families.
• Assess, intervene and educate regarding breastfeeding.
• Document teaching and interventions; assist with nursing staff competencies and physician education regarding breastfeeding.
