Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Lactation Consultant Per Diem for the Mother Baby Unit at Monmouth Medical Center. MMC is a large community teaching hospital delivering high-quality patient care and advancing lactation services across inpatient, outpatient and telehealth settings.

The role requires current NJ RN license, AAS/BSN, and IBCLC certification, with BLS/NRP, and at least 2 years in maternal-child health or NICU nursing.

Qualifications

CurrentNJ RN License required.
AAS or BSN degree required.
IBCLC lactation certification required.
AHA BLS and AHA NRP required.
2 years maternal-child health or NICU nursing experience required.
1 year in-hospital lactation consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide lactation management services in inpatient, outpatient and telehealth settings.
Lead, organize, manage and develop lactation programs and groups.
Report identified safety issues and ensure patient safety in care environments.
Support mothers with breastfeeding skills across multiple care units.
Work independently in outpatient care areas; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
