Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Lactation Consultant to assess, plan, implement and evaluate lactation care for antepartum, postpartum and neonatal patients. This role coordinates education and support for breastfeeding families, applying nursing processes to improve outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have Georgia RN licensure, a nursing degree, and 2+ years in maternal-child nursing with IBCLC certification or strong lactation credentials.

Competenze

• RN license in Georgia required.
• IBCLC or breastfeeding counselor certification preferred.
• Graduate of accredited nursing program required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 2 years of maternal-child nursing experience required.
• 2 years in maternal-child area required.

Mansioni

• Provide lactation assessment, planning, and evaluation.
• Coordinate lactation education and support for antepartum, post-partum, and neonatal patients.
• Monitor and manage breastfeeding issues to support families.
• Educate staff on lactation management.
