Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a dedicated lactation consultant nurse to assess and support breastfeeding families across antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal care. You will plan, implement, and evaluate care, coordinating lactation education and assistance for patients and staff.

Minimum RN licensure in Georgia with 2 years maternal-child nursing experience; IBCLC preferred or breast feeding counselor certification. NRP and BLS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Georgia required
• IBCLC or breastfeeding counselor certification preferred
• NRP/BLS certifications required locally
• Two years of maternal-child nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide lactation education and support to antepartum, postpartum, and neonatal patients
• Coordinate lactation assistance and education using nursing process
• Monitor and support breast feeding couplet and address problems
• Educate patients and staff on lactation management

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Graduate of accredited school of nursing
