Legends Global is seeking an Operations Utility Worker for the Los Angeles Convention Center. This onsite role handles general maintenance, surface prep for paint, and minor repairs to keep facilities ready for events.

Based in Los Angeles, the position reports to the Assistant Superintendent and offers a base hourly rate with non-exempt status. You will work across multiple departments during events and routine operations, following safety practices and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Experience with general basic repairs and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Surface preparation for paint and basic repairs (restroom fixtures, ceiling tiles, light bulbs).
  • Move and position equipment and furniture; assist with minor repairs and replacements.
  • Restock, clean, and maintain back-of-house areas and workstations.
  • Follow safety rules and wear PPE as required.
  • Assist with event setup and teardown as needed.

The center is committed to delivering excellent service and exceeding expectations for clients and guests at every event.SUMMARYThe Operations Utility Worker is responsible to make general basic repairs and meet the minor maintenance needs of the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC), that is not the traditional work of the Journeyman Building & Construction Trades workers listed above.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe duties of the Operations Utility Worker include surface preparation for paint, general basic repairs such as restroom partitions, toilet paper dispensers, ceiling tiles, water closets, replacing electrical cover plates, aerators, repair baseboards, reset pavers, changing light bulbs fixing door handles, hanging pictures, frames, mirrors, security hangers, moving equipment and furniture, fixing small appliances, replacing filters and batteries, restocking, trash removal, spill clean-up and maintaining back of house areas, garages and workstations and work areas.QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCESKILLS AND ABILITIESOTHER QUALIFICATIONSPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
