Job summary

W3Global seeks an IT specialist to support Biostore and LIMS integrations. You will work with lab networks, API connections, and cloud infrastructure in AWS, ensuring robust system interoperability and reliable data flow.

Responsibilities include developing technical requirements, creating validation artifacts, and coordinating test execution with cross-functional teams. Prior experience with Azenta BioStore, Benchling or BioInventory is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical requirements and design documentation for Biostore platform and LIMS integrations based on business requirements.
• Create installation plans, deployment plans, test strategies, validation documentation, and SDLC deliverables to support compliant system implementation.
• Develop and manage Jira epics, stories, tasks, and Xray test artifacts for project delivery, system validation, testing, and defects.
• Produce architecture diagrams, integration specifications and advanced support documentation for Biostore and connected systems.
• Coordinate test execution, issue resolution, release readiness activities, and vendor deliverables to support deployment and ongoing support.

Description

Effectively step into this role, a candidate would need the following experience profile:

• Lab Network, System & API integrations: Strong understanding of lab network architecture, experience with API integration and web services, knowledge of communication protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, REST/SOAP, and MQTT or other device communication protocols, experience connecting web applications with lab instruments, troubleshooting network, middleware, and interface issues, familiarity with servers, firewalls, VPNs, and routing, understanding of data transfer, message exchange, and system interoperability. validating API connectivity between distinct scientific and cloud-hosted applications.
• Cloud Infrastructure (AWS): Hands-on experience working within Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments. Familiarity with managing cloud compute instances (EC2), monitoring cloud logs/metrics (e.g., CloudWatch), and understanding fundamental cloud networking and security principles.
• LIMS & Sample Management Experience: Hands-on experience supporting Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or automated sample management software. Specific experience with Azenta BioStore, Benchling or BioInventory systems is highly preferred.
• Application Troubleshooting: Strong technical problem-solving skills with experience investigating application alerts (e.g., database connectivity drops, hardware controller offline states, and data read/write failures).Cross-Functional IT Collaboration: Experience operating within a matrixed IT structure, routinely collaborating with Integration Support, Product Owners, Infrastructure teams, and external vendors to coordinate system fixes.
• Technical Reporting: Ability to translate technical anomalies into structured weekly performance reports and issue logs for project stakeholders.

Deliverables To Include But Not Limited To

• Development of technical requirements, functional specifications, and solution design documentation for the Biostore platform and associated LIMS integrations based on business requirements and collaboration with scientific and business SMEs.
• Creation and maintenance of installation plans, deployment plans, test strategies, validation documentation, and SDLC deliverables to support compliant system implementation and operation.
• Development and management of Jira epics, stories, tasks, and Xray test artifacts to support project delivery, system validation, testing, defect management, and ongoing platform enhancement activities.
• Production of architecture diagrams, integration specifications and advanced support documentation for the Biostore solution and connected systems.
• Coordination of test execution, issue resolution, release readiness activities, and vendor deliverables to support successful deployment and ongoing support of the platform
