Job summary

Actalent in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking a LabVIEW Test Engineer to develop and support end-of-line test equipment and software for production launches. You will create LabVIEW applications, troubleshoot electro-mechanical test systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test solutions meet product and process requirements.

Qualifications

5+ years in test engineering or closely related role.
Hands-on LabVIEW development for test and measurement.
Strong electrical troubleshooting for electro-mechanical systems.
Proficiency with DMMs and oscilloscopes for diagnostics.
Experience with harness building and interpreting electrical schematics.
Working knowledge of SQL Server databases for test data storage.
Ability to analyze test data and solve complex technical problems.
Experience with automotive/vehicle components and embedded systems.
Familiarity with CAN analysis tools (e.g., CANalyzer).
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering preferred (or related discipline).

Responsibilities

Develop end-of-line test equipment solutions for existing and new products.
Design and maintain LabVIEW applications for evaluation and testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to release new products.
Troubleshoot electro-mechanical test systems using analytical skills.
Improve test systems for reliability, throughput, and quality.
Support manufacturing uptime by improving test processes and equipment.
Create design documentation for test system changes and new products.
Use DMMs/oscilloscopes for troubleshooting and validation.
Assist harness building and electrical test activities.
Work with SQL Server databases to manage and report test data from production and development.
Collaborate with hardware, software, and manufacturing teams to meet requirements.
Contribute to continuous improvement in test methodologies and data analysis.
Provide test engineering input during new product development from concept to production.
