Job summary

Nordson is seeking a hands-on Test Engineer to design, develop, and support electro-mechanical test fixtures for new product development and sustaining engineering. You will own test solutions from concept through execution, partnering with engineering, manufacturing, and product development teams.

Responsibilities include creating SolidWorks fixtures, developing LabVIEW automation, and executing qualification and reliability testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of engineering experience (ideal range: 4-10 years).
• 4-6+ years of hands-on LabVIEW development experience, including creating automated test solutions from the ground up.
• Experience with National Instruments (NI) hardware and instrumentation.
• 2+ years of mechanical design experience using SolidWorks, including designing fixtures, assemblies, and fabricated components.
• Experience integrating electrical components such as sensors, motors, actuators, relays, power supplies, and motion control systems.
• Proven ability to independently lead engineering projects from concept through implementation.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and production engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electro-mechanical test fixtures and automated test systems for new product development and existing products.
• Create mechanical fixture designs and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Develop LabVIEW applications for automation, data acquisition, and test control.
• Execute qualification and reliability testing, collect data, and analyze results.
• Work hands-on with hardware, electronics, sensors, motors, and instrumentation to validate product performance.
