Job summary

ManpowerGroup seeks Laborers for a manufacturing and distribution client in Hammond, IN. The role covers warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and value-added services, with a 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM shift.

You will load/unload freight, move products, and prepare orders for shipment in a safety-focused environment. Requires ability to operate a pallet jack, good communication, and reliable adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is desirable
• 0 to 12 months warehouse experience desirable
• Ability to operate material handling equipment safely
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Our client, a leading manufacturing and distribution operation, is seeking Laborers to join their team. As a Laborers, you will be part of the Warehouse Operations supporting Shipping, Receiving, and Value-Added Services.

Job Title: Laborers

Location: Hammond, IN

Pay Range: $15

Shift: 7:00AM - 03:30PM

What's the Job?

• Manually load and unload freight in an efficient and safe manner.
• Move product to storage areas using proper material handling equipment and stack/store merchandise in the correct location.
• Assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped and prepare orders by sorting, recouping, packing, marking, and labeling materials.
• Check or count freight for accuracy and/or damage and infestation, and support physical inventories.
• Perform general grounds/building maintenance and other duties as assigned, including assembling displays and completing specialty value-added services per customer requirements.

What's Needed?

• Ability to operate a powered pallet jack safely and efficiently.
• Good written and verbal communication skills to follow directions and complete tasks accurately.
• Ability to work the specified shift and follow work procedures and safety rules.
• Ability to identify and locate product by reading and counting, with strong eye-hand-foot coordination.
• High school diploma or equivalent is desirable; 0 to 12 months warehouse experience is desirable.
