Job summary

InterCon Construction is seeking a construction professional to prepare sites, locate utilities, and install gas piping and related equipment. The role requires travel, physical endurance, and adherence to safety standards throughout the workflow.

Responsibilities include signaling equipment operators, loading materials, configuring pipe routes, and ensuring proper alignment with grade rods or transit levels. Experience with gas mains and fiber optics is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Class A CDL preferred
• Willingness to travel
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, or walk for long periods
• Able to lift/push/pull 50 pounds regularly
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables preferred
• Education in Gas and Utilities Construction preferred

• Signal operators to help facilitate movement or alignment of equipment.
• Load, unload and transport construction materials and tools.
• Configure pipe routes.
• Assemble gas piping and equipment.
• Follow safety standards throughout process, including while digging trenches, sliding pipe into trenches, grading trenches, and sealing joints.
• Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels.
• Cover pipes or cable with dirt or other material.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Equivalent, Valid Driver's License Class A CDL (preferred)
• Must be willing to travel.
