The Laborer will perform general labor duties related to telecommunications construction under the guidance of the Foreman/Supervisor. Responsibilities include various phases of underground construction such as loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of materials and equipment.

What you’ll do as a Laborer

• Dig using hand shovels and mechanical tools
• Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling
• Climb in and out of equipment such as trucks, backhoes, trenchers
• Operate or work around heavy machinery
• Work in congested or remote areas
• Maintain visual and audible contact for safe coordination
• Perform general construction work under supervision
• Follow all safety regulations and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• Be 18 years or older
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Pass a background check and drug screening
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant experience
• Valid Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License

Additional qualifications

• Knowledge of operating utility trucks and equipment safely
• Ability to use hand tools and equipment safely
• Experience in utility construction preferred
• Ability to read utility maps and prints
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed
• Availability for overtime, after-hours, weekends, or emergencies
• Ability to work in all weather conditions

Pay Range

The hourly wage range is $19.00 - $23.00, depending on experience.
