The Laborer will perform general labor duties related to telecommunications construction as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor. Responsibilities include all phases of underground construction, such as loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of various construction materials and equipment.

What you’ll do as a Laborer

• Dig using hand shovels and mechanical tools
• Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling
• Climb in and out of equipment (trucks, backhoes, trenchers, etc.)
• Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery
• Work in congested or remote areas
• Maintain visual and audible contact with crew members and all moving or stationary objects for safe coordination
• Perform general construction work under the direction of Foreman/Supervisor
• Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Pass a background check and drug screening
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
• Valid Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License

Additional qualifications include basic knowledge of utility trucks, equipment, hand tools, ability to read utility maps, effective communication skills, ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed, willingness to work overtime, and in all weather conditions.

Note: This position is safety-sensitive.

Pay Range: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour, based on experience.
