Job summary

Lambert's Cable in Dunn, NC is seeking a Laborer Telecom Aerial to support an aerial crew with installation and maintenance of fiber and telecom cables and materials.

You will provide tools, move equipment, perform digging, traffic control, and work in all weather; OT and on-call as needed. Valid license and readiness to learn certified pole climber skills are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Certified pole climber or willingness to become certified.
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers or equipment as directed.
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed daily.
• Stock, clean and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel and perform on‑call/after‑hours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed
• Ensure that door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment

Requirements

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Certified pole climber or willing to become certified
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routine: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasional: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
