Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. in Clearwater, Florida, is seeking a Laborer Telecom Aerial to support installation and maintenance of fiber and telecom cables. You'll be responsible for providing tools to the crew, moving equipment, and ensuring completion of construction notifications.

The ideal candidate must be 18 years or older, have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and experience in telecommunications is a plus. Benefits include weekly pay, paid time off, and insurance coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be provisional), including an acceptable driving record.
• Certified pole climber or willing to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications for construction are completed.
• Stock, clean, and maintain company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow per local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call duties as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.

Skills

Labor experience in telecommunications

Ability to operate heavy machinery

Valid state driver's license

Certified pole climber or willingness to be certified

At Lambert's Cable, as a Laborer Telecom Aerial, you’ll support an Aerial Telecom Crew with the installation and maintenance of fiber/telecom cables and materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed
• Ensure that door‑tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on‑call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
