Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Company, LLC is seeking a Laborer Telecom Aerial to support an aerial telecom crew installing and maintaining fiber/telecom cables. You’ll provide tools, parts, and materials, move equipment, and ensure safety-related tagging and notifications are completed daily.

The role requires ascending to tasks in all weather, conducting hand digging, traffic control, and availability for overtime, travel, and after-hours work.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older and eligible to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Pole climber certification or willingness to become certified
• Labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

Ability to lift 55 lbs

Telecom labor experience a plus

Education

High School Diploma or GED

What you’ll do

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely : work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally : use ladder, keyboard and mouse
