Summary

This position involves physical labor at construction sites and assisting other workers. Tasks include operating hand and power tools such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, among others. Responsibilities also include site cleaning and preparation, trench digging, setting braces, erecting scaffolding, and waste cleanup.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards.
• Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools and distribute them appropriately.
• Control traffic near work zones with training provided.
• Signal equipment operators for machinery alignment and movement with training provided.
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact or level earth using various tools.
• Enter trenches or confined spaces after proper training.
• Understand and follow safety protocols as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor.
