Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation in Houston, Texas, seeks a dedicated truck driver to transport materials to and from job sites. This role involves pre-trip and weekly inspections, load handling, and maintaining clear communication with supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current valid Texas Driver's License.
• Ability to perform physical labor and work outdoors in heat and cold.
• Ability to communicate with Crew Leader and Supervisor.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and traffic control.

Responsibilities

• Drives truck to destination.
• Performs daily visual inspections & weekly written inspections.
• Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
• Loads and unloads truck.
• Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water and makes repairs as needed.
• Performs emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs and tire chains.
• Operates equipment when approved by supervisor.
• Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
• Keeps all necessary documents current in truck (registration, inspection & insurance).
• Assists crews as needed while on job site.
• Prepares trucks, materials for job.
• Keeps trucks and equipment clean.
• Hand digging and related jobs requiring physical labor.
• Manual labor – able to work in heat and cold.
• Responds to emergencies as needed.

Job Overview:

Summary Drives truck with capacity to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Drives truck to destination.

• Does daily visual inspections & weekly written inspections
