Future, a Primoris Company, is seeking a hardworking laborer for underground utility construction. You will assist in installation, repair, and maintenance of utilities, handle a variety of tools, and help keep work sites safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at various heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor duties such as digging trenches, shoveling, and backfilling.

• Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks and vehicles.
• Clear debris and keep job sites safe and organized.
• Follow company safety policies and wear PPE.
• Assist crew members and equipment operators as needed.
• Perform flagging duties to direct traffic around work zones when required.
• Report unsafe conditions or incidents to a supervisor.
• Work in various weather conditions.

Job Overview:

Job Responsibilities**

• Perform manual labor duties such as digging trenches, shoveling, and backfilling using hand tools and power equipment.
• Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utilities, including pipes, conduits, and cables.
• Operate and maintain various hand and power tools, including but not limited to shovels, picks, tampers, jackhammers, and compactors.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and other vehicles.
• Clean and prepare job sites, including clearing debris and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist equipment operators and other crew members as needed.
• Perform flagging duties to direct traffic around work zones when required.
• Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to a supervisor immediately.
• Work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.

Job Qualifications**

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in construction, particularly in underground utility work, is a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces and at various heights.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
