Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. is seeking candidates to join our field crew. This role involves outdoor construction labor, heavy equipment assistance, and learning the drilling and blasting processes under supervision.

Travel may be required, including out-of-town assignments, with overtime possible. Applicants should be safety-minded, physically capable of lifting heavy loads, and able to follow directions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform job specific instruction from Superintendents/Blasting Supervisor/Drill Operators.
• Out of town/state travel and overtime may be required.
• Valid Drivers License with good driving record and own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Must adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies
• Physical agility
• Submit time cards weekly with accuracy and signature
• Learn safety aspects of construction sites and explosives
• Take direction and perform construction laboring activities
• Work unsupervised occasionally
• Pump blast holes dry with water pump
• Load and unload explosives from truck
• Carry buckets of stemming stone to stem blast holes
• Maintain clean and organized job site
• Other duties as assigned
• Attend all meetings
• Participate in monthly Foreman, safety and job meetings
• Participate in daily heads up safety meetings
