OVERVIEW

Archer Western Construction is seeking a Common Laborer for the Harwood's Mill Dam Improvement Project in Yorktown, Virginia.

The Common Laborer will perform physical tasks on construction sites, including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects; may operate hand and/or power tools as needed; may assist with site preparation and other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform physical labor tasks as instructed by supervisor
• Work with crew members and operate various hand and power tools including drills and hammers
• Clean and prepare construction sites, erect scaffolding, dispose of debris, and dig trenches
• Load and unload supplies manually and with equipment

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years of verifiable experience preferred
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffolds/ladders
• Lift up to 50 lbs; work in adverse weather conditions
• Follow safety policies and communicate effectively with team
• Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
• Good manual dexterity; able to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods
• Pass pre-employment drug screening
