Overview
C Speed, LLC is seeking an experienced Site Laborer with specific experience in supporting line handling operations to support the DHS Customs & Border Protection Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) program. The TARS program leverages aerostat systems to provide persistent surveillance and detection capabilities to the U.S. Government across multiple sites along the US Southern border, including Puerto Rico, Florida, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.

TARS Site Laborer
Location: Marfa, TX
Position Type: Full-Time

The successful candidate will have experience managing aerostat flight operations on platforms similar in size to the TARS aerostats. Responsibilities include supporting aerostat pre-launch, launch, ascent, transition, station keeping, recovery, performing equipment maintenance, and supporting site operations such as security and logistics.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Participating in flight crew activities including pre/post flight, launch/recovery, helium topping, tether inspections, and emergency procedures.
2. Performing maintenance on aerostat subsystems, hardware, and rigging under supervision.
3. Operating and maintaining site equipment including vehicles and generators.
4. Assisting with helium transfers and site maintenance tasks.
5. Operating vehicles and working in various weather conditions.
6. Maintaining site documentation and supporting logistics.
7. Training personnel on aerostat procedures and supporting security and logistics as needed.

Qualifications include a GED or High School Diploma, 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience (or technical degree as a substitute), and the ability to obtain flight operator certification. Prior aerostat operator experience is preferred.
