Position Details

• Reports to: Director of Buildings, Grounds, and Maintenance
• Job Status: Part-time, non-exempt
• Type: Seasonal
• Location: New Windsor, NY
• Pay Rate: $17.00/hour

Purpose

The Laborer will support the upkeep of Healthy Kids buildings and grounds, including preventative maintenance, repairs, renovations, and on-call work, aligning with our mission and core values.

Responsibilities

• Assist maintenance lead with various projects
• Perform landscaping services, including mowing, mulching, and general groundskeeping in Monticello and Liberty, NY
• Conduct preventative maintenance and basic repairs
• Engage in renovation work, painting, light electrical, plumbing, HVAC, framing, and other maintenance activities

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Organizational skills with attention to detail
• Time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Proven maintenance experience and skilled in using hand and power tools
• High school diploma or GED; technical college degree preferred
• Ability to interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics
• Physical ability to lift up to 80 pounds, climb ladders, and work on rooftops safely
