Job summary

Housing Authority of Sabine Parish in Louisiana seeks a grounds and buildings maintainer to perform a wide variety of upkeep tasks. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.

No experience or training is required, and the compensation will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The role supports the Authority’s mission to provide decent, safe, and affordable housing for residents and to improve community quality of life.

• Cleans, maintains, and grounds upkeeping of outdoor and related facilities.
• Performs duties related to building upkeep as part of routine maintenance.
• Uses basic tools to perform tasks as directed by supervision.

Job Duties

• Cuts grass, weeds, trees, and brush; cleans culverts, drains, and ditches.
• Moves, loads, and unloads materials, supplies, and equipment; removes obstructions from highway or premises; hauls or carries sand, lumber, asphalt, and cement; pours dirt, sand, and water into a mud jack and fills.

Career Progression: This position does not participate in a CPG.

Work Schedule: Work hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Thursday.

Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
