Job summary

Thompson Concrete Foundations in Louisville is hiring a Concrete General Laborer to join a crew building residential foundations in the surrounding area. You will work with crew leaders to learn the full scope of each project and support tasks from loading materials to finishing concrete.

This full-time, weekday role requires physical fitness, the ability to lift up to 80 pounds, and a valid driver’s license for potential driving duties.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work as part of a crew to build residential foundations.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 80 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Willingness to overtime (45-55 hours per week) and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Crew Leaders to learn full project scope.
• Load, unload and distribute materials and tools on site.
• Set up concrete retaining panels per project blueprints; pour and finish concrete.
• Operate basic hand tools and inspect panels for quality.
• Keep jobsite organized and secure tools and materials.

Job description

As a Concrete General Laborer at Thompson, your primary responsibility will be to work as a member of a team to build high-quality residential foundations around the Louisville area.

Additional duties include

• Coordinating with Crew Leaders to learn the full scope of project
• Driving company vehicles to transport crew to and from jobsites (optional)
• Loading, unloading and distributing various types of material and tools
• Setting up concrete retaining panels according to project blueprints
• Using various types of hand tools, such as hammers & measuring tapes
• Pouring, spreading, raking, and inspecting freshly poured concrete
• Spraying sealants and other chemicals on panels before and after use
• Keeping jobsite organized and properly securing tools & material

Requirements

• To qualify as a Laborer/Driver, you must possess a valid Driver's License and have no major incidents or accidents within the past 5 years (does not apply to non-driving Laborers)
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds continuously
• Must be willing to work Overtime (between 45-55 hours per week)
• Must be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Shift Details

6am to at least 3pm, Mon-Fri (end time will vary depending on the day)
